The Financial District

At the corner of Broad Street and Wall Street you will find the Financial District of New York. The district headquarters both the New York Stock Exchange as well as the American Stock Exchange. Only 30,000 people live here but during the day the population rises to a staggering 300,000.

Also located in the Financial District is the Federal Hall National Memorial which held the inauguration of the first President of the United States, George Washington. A few nearby popular attractions include South Street Seaport and the Manhattan Civic Center.
